JOIN US: We have our next monthly “Brainy Buddies” network coffee morning this Thursday.
This is a “free” coffee session open to anyone who has had their life’s touched by a brain tumour diagnosis, from patients, partners, family members, even if was years ago or more recent, everyone is welcome to come & share in a safe comfortable, relaxed environment.
Your experience could really help someone else with the journey they are going on and vice versa. As well as the always generous supply of free coffee, tea biscuits and cake, we always have a raffle where everyone wins a prize to take home!
Also every month we have a guest speaker for the group and this month we have both Fiona Scott and Emma Powell coming to talk about what the Jersey Employment Trust can do for you. JET is a free, supported employment service for individuals with a disability or long term health condition. Area’s they will talk about are STEPS, the pre-employment part of the service that looks at volunteering and training opportunities for individuals to develop their work skills, the employment team, who focus on job retention, job searching, work experiences, C.V`s, interview skills etc
We work very closely with them and already a number of our patients have experiences of this, so do come and hear what could work for you, there is plenty they can help with.
So see you you there? Good 10:30am - 12pm at St Paul’s centre in the Parish of St Helier
