Flying the Flag…
Last Friday the 3rd July 2015 saw the Jersey Brain Tumour Charity flag day take place on King Street, St Helier Jersey. The JBTC team were in place from 9:30am - 5:30pm and saw a huge number of people who came over to support, donate or wish us well.
We had such a tremendous amount of support to make it all happen, and would like to thank the following:
Dog Daze: For the loan of their Gazebo at the last minute. Such lovely ladies who have just started their new local business. Please show them some love and support by liking their facebook page - www.facebook.com/dogdazejersey
Bailiffs Office: For the permission to be able to hold our flag day and all their help in the days planning the event with the permit
Parish of St Helier: For the help in making our pitch go well and supporting us, making the process go so smoothly!
Hamons & Jack Wills: For being good neighbours and letting us be there in-between the two fab local stores & Mr Hamon for letting us blow up our balloons.
Sue Ward: For helping us co-ordinate the volunteers fir the day and looking so glamours on the day herself!
To all our volunteers who came down to hold a bucket support us on the day, THANK YOU. To give up your time and support us making it a big success is largely down to your commitment.
To our patients who also came down to help us, you continue to be our stars & our inspiration. Thank you as always x
To everyone else we haven’t mentioned also please accept our thanks especially to everyone who came to chat, came forward so bravely to speak to us about their own BT journey..now here’s the great news.
We have smashed last years donations on the day (we raised over £300) by raising in those few hours an amazing £833.50!!
That total, with the greater awareness of the charity & islanders who came forward to join our family for the support we can provide, has proven again how when we come together, great things can happen, and of course how generous islanders really are.
A proud & very happy
