She did it!

We are so proud of Kerry who today completed her 1st half marathon in Plymouth raising so far £500 for us at JBTC in a time of 2 hours 33mins!

We hope you join us is sending huge congratulations to her & thanks as that money goes directly to helping us help others!

Our very own Sue was there at the finish line with a big hug!

Thank you Kerry!

A former Jersey College for Girls pupil now living in Plymouth, Kerry volunteered with us in 2014 leading to her choosing us as beneficiary of her first half marathon. She said:

“The Plymouth half-marathon was a personal challenge for me as I am definitely not a runner. I chose this charity because volunteering for this organisation made me realise the fantastic work that they do in Jersey and how much donations really do mean to them. My aunty unfortunately passed away due to a brain tumour when I was a child, and although this charity wasn’t around then,

I know their support would have been greatly received by my family as previously there was little help tailored for those affected by this type of diagnosis.

A big thank you to the Jersey Brain Tumour Charity for all their support and encouragement and everyone who has made a donation.”
